This is how numeric grades translated to letter grades last time I taught this course, and how many of each letter grade I gave. While this semester almost certainly won’t produce exactly the same distribution, it’s likely to be similar, so this is probably a reasonable estimator for predicting your own grade if you want to. I also encourage you to talk to me directly any time you want a sense of how you’re doing in the course and what your grade is likely to be.
| Numeric Range | Letter Grade | Count |
|---|---|---|
| 0% - 20% | E | 1 |
| 20% - 45% | D | 0 |
| 45% - 49% | C- | 0 |
| 49% - 57% | C | 3 |
| 57% - 59% | C+ | 3 |
| 59% - 66% | B- | 7 |
| 66% - 77% | B | 8 |
| 77% - 79% | B+ | 2 |
| 79% - 82% | A- | 2 |
| 82% - 100% | A | 5 |
